Eid: The Celebration of Food
This is officially my first post in here. I've reserved my name months ago and this is the first time I actually decide to write something. Oh well, here I am. No need to introduce myself, you'd probably know "ME" from my writings. I'm not a complex person. Simply, simple! That's not even a sentence!
Well I've travelled to Dubai 2 weeks ago and spent Eid in there. It was so chaotic during the 3 days of Eid. I didn't really enjoy it much. It's the first Eid without my father, since he passed away almost 8 months ago.
I'm also not a "Eid" person really. I'm just glad we're back to our regular schedule. I'm a morning person and during Ramadhan I hated myself because I slept all morning. Anyway, it didn't make any sense for me to wake up early since I couldn't have breakfast. And not having breakfast means no energy to work, go out, run errands, and other stuff like that. But I got through it pretty well. I made some really good desserts. Now, I have to loose all the weight I've gained during that month. Was everything I ate worth gaining weight? YES. I've eaten the most delicious dishes. Not to mention trying every single dessert on the table.
During my visit to Dubai I continued my food rampage. Everyday I'd go over to my friend's house for futoor. After that, I'd go to the movies. A movie without food doesn't make sense to me. I buy two buckets of compressed cotton candy, reese's peanutbutter cups, and a Diet Coke? What more can I say. That's almost 1000 kcals I guess. I don't know what's the deal with the cotton candy. Maybe because it reminds me of my childhood? I don't know. Anyway, it's amazing and there's high demand on it to the point where every two days they have to re-stock Cotton Candy.
I wouldn't blame Oliver Twist for singing "Food Glorious Food". WE LIVE TO EAT! that's what I think or maybe one person should agree with me at least!
Anyway, to all of you who had a kick during the Eid, happy Eid! Keep eating. . .have a great night ;)
